TPS produced the special features for the 1^st season DVD release of Crossing Jordan for NBC. This was our first introduction to Tim Kring, Dennis Hammer and Allan Arkush.

We had a bit of a dilemma deciding what original content to feature since the season was so long ago and there was no on set footage or any other materiel to play with. We ultimately decided to do a series of multi-camera conversation segments with cast members and producers. As usual scheduling and locations would prove to be a hurdle but with Allan Arkush as are host we were able to pull off some really cool conversation segments.

Here’s how the segments shaped up: We had in mind to bring in all the cast members to do a reunion style interview, but with Jill Hennessy expecting a child in New York and Miguel Ferrer shooting Bionic Women in Canada, scheduling didn’t work out. So Allan and the TPS crew flew to New York to do a sit down conversation featuring Jill and Allan at the famous Patsy’s restaurant. (How we ended up at Patsy’s is another story) Then we flew back to LA and shot a conversation at Eat’s on Sunset Blvd. with Ravi Kapoor, Steve Valentine, Kathryn Hahn and Allan. Then at the last minute Miguel had a break from Bionic Women and we shot a conversation with Allan, Tim Kring and Miguel Ferrer. And last but not least we shot a conversation with Dennis Hammer, Tim Kring and Allan Arkush to wrap it all up.

The result was a very well rounded series of fun, informative conversations about the cast and crew of Crossing Jordan. There were lots of laughs that the fans found entertaining and yes even a few tears were shed.

We were lucky to have Allan Arkush as our host. He was shooting DVD segments while he was producing and directing Heroes. Where he gets the energy is beyond us. Thanks Allan!
